We met each other during our studies in the Art Institute.
We both loved theater, sang to the guitar.
After one of the evenings with a guitar at the bonfire in summer at a student camp in plein air our love was born.
We got married in out 3 year, and then out daughter Sasha was born.
That is why when it came to choosing a pseudonym for out works,
we chose without hesitation – Sashiny – possessive case from Sasha which means parents of Sasha.

 

 

 

 

We tried ourselves in many directions and styles of art -
realistic painting, wood carving, macramé, beads, batik, etc.
With years we came to the belief and felt the beauty of icon paining
with its symbolic and full of meaning beauty.
After the institute we became interested in icon themes.

 Time of Easter eggs came. We paint with enthusiasm.
Moscow craft fair Vernissage gathers and unites folk crafts.
There we sell our works. We have our own website. 
More than 20 years we have been painting eggs with icon themes.
This is an amazing by shape and content object,
which became famous from the time of Mary Magdalene.

 

 

 

 

 Another facet of our life is icon painting.
It is a deeper diving into the creativity;
where there came understanding that everything you paint is not done by you
but by the Providence and help of God.

 

 

Once in Jerusalem there happened an event which changed our lives.
On Easter day we presented an Easter egg to a priest.
And he trusted us so much that blessed us to paint the icon-stand of the temple.
Usually this is done by the icon workshop with the staff of people of various professions.
We could not refuse. The temple was in a Siberian village.
Perhaps only prays of the priest and parish made the impossible become possible
and we made it for an unusual short time.
Since that time every summer we cover the distance of 2000 km to visit that village
so that we could feel we are the part of that parish and to work there to the glory of God.

Upon our return to Vladimir we again paint Easter eggs and icons with various themes.
We are happy to work for you.
